Where we are right now…… December 25, 2008

We are in Malachi 3:2-3
But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:
3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
This is in preparation for the days to come, where we will be in the face of severe warfare and oppression, but also of the glory and presence of the Lord in the midst of the camp. In preparation for this requires spiritual circumcision(Joshua 5:3-7):
2 At that time the LORD said unto Joshua, Make thee sharp knives, and circumcise again the children of Israel the second time.
3 And Joshua made him sharp knives, and circumcised the children of Israel at the hill of the foreskins.
4 And this is the cause why Joshua did circumcise: All the people that came out of Egypt, that were males, even all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the way, after they came out of Egypt.
5 Now all the people that came out were circumcised: but all the people that were born in the wilderness by the way as they came forth out of Egypt, them they had not circumcised.
6 For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD sware that he would not shew them the land, which the LORD sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
7 And their children, whom he raised up in their stead, them Joshua circumcised: for they were uncircumcised, because they had not circumcised them by the way.
As the church, we have been in a wilderness for a long time……..Since 1521 God has been restoring the doctrines and offices of the church to bring us to a place where we can begin accessing the inheritance that God has promised would come on a generation.
We are now at the point in the last 10 years where we have transitioned into a new day(crossing the Jordan). We have left the age of Pentecost in the wilderness, and we are entering into the age of Tabernacles where God dwells with his people.
But this is also a season of the Conquest of the Promised Land. Where we storm tightly held fortresses by the power of God and face and overcome giants. The enemies will be awesome……but the presence with us will be far greater.
But there is the issue…….for God to dwell that closely with us requires a spiritual circumcision…..one we have not really had in our lives. It is a refiners fire…..a fullers soap……..to prepare a body of people to carry the presence of God. Otherwise when people get into the presence of God without the circumcision they will wind up in idolatry and build Golden Calves(Exodus 32). Any undealt with areas of our lives will become magnified as we are under both the presence and the warfare that comes against it. So we must cut away that which would hinder us in the critical moments before the pillar of fire that will be coming to the body.
That is why God is going out of His way to expose our hearts. That is why He will not let us take the easy way out. That is why He won’t let us look for some sort of medication……be it in our selves, in others, in systems, in doctrine or ideology or otherwise. Both independence and co-dependence will not cut it……but inter-dependence on the Holy Spirit.
Because the foundation must be good to carry the weight of the presence of God……and the only way to beat the enemy we will fight is to be in the manifest presence of God and to carry that presence with us……….there is NO other way to win.
God is carrying us into a new day, and will be building a new church in the manifest presence of God that the authorities of Hell cannot prevail against. Everything that we have built till now is like a scaffolding that has laid a groundwork for what will happen now. Much of the old church system will pass away…….but we do not dishonor it……..for without it we could not build what God wants to build today ………..
The pillar of fire is coming…….the same one that appeared to Moses, to Aaron, to Samuel…………and with it the re-ordering of everything around Him rather than us………..we are in the beginning stages of this right now………..that is where we are……

You are now becoming, and will become
The man of God you were shown to be
By your brother, your lover, your friend and your God
Jesus Christ.
